When you have exams on the horizon, it’s important to get started with your revision as soon as possible. Sometimes, the hardest part is starting, but the sooner you get going, the less stressful it will be in the long run!
If you’re struggling to get going, get your revision books and resources out and put them somewhere where you can see them.
The sight of your revision books will prompt you to open them up at some point – you’ll get fed up of just seeing them sit there!
One technique you can use to get started is to grab your revision book and get your pen ready. Then, take a deep breath and count to 3:
1, 2, 3…and open the book. Start reading it as soon as you open it. Luckily, once you start, revising gets easier and easier.
Don’t forget to tick tasks off your revision timetable as you go.
With a head start and plenty of time ahead of you, you’ll feel calmer and more relaxed about your upcoming exams.
